We are thrilled to announce that Sharon Long has been chosen
as a featured artist in the all new Foster Gallery for their 2016 Fall
Rotation.
Sharon is among fifteen other local professional artists being
represented at the Foster Gallery located in the Market Shops at Sandestin. The
Foster Gallery is an all new premiere art gallery in Destin. It is an artist
co-operative led by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County that features
local artists on a seasonally rotating basis.
Sharon’s paintings will hang in the gallery for the fall
term and her originals are on show until the November 20th. She would like to invite you to stop by the
gallery and see her latest works. All of her original watercolors on exhibit
are for sale and a portion of the sale will go to fund the gallery and
community art projects.
“I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful group
that is promoting artists in Walton County and encouraging locals and tourists
to invest in local art.” Long commented, “It is a great honor to have my
watercolors on display in this beautiful new gallery”.
Several hundred local residents and supporters turned out
for the Opening Night Reception of the Fall Rotation held earlier this month. “It
was a wonderful evening for the arts and a chance for the locals to meet the
artists and enjoy a glass of wine.”
The Foster Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from noon
until 8pm.
One of the newest paintings chosen for the exhibit is called
“Tight Rope Walker” and features a Pelican with great skills at getting his
catch!
